Our History

Formed in 1990, Image was borne out of the experiences of its founder, Jon Millar.  As a senior IT manager for a major telecoms company, Jon completely understood the complex requirements and business critical importance of getting recruitment right.  He had experienced firsthand the frustrations of trying to find the best and most suitable staff and recognised that there was a real need for a completely new approach to recruitment.   

The recruitment industry has changed little in 25 years and thanks to some unscrupulous agencies has gained a somewhat dubious reputation for failing to deliver.  Jon Millar's innovative solution was to provide a unique and new method of fast, effective and reliable recruitment. Jon then set about building a team of like minded individuals who were looking to put the value back into recruitment.

As companies became aware of Image's unique service business began to grow and it wasn't long before Image was managing all of the recruitment for one of the UK's biggest mobile networks. Building on this success Image quickly expanded into other companies within the communications market. The slowdown in telecommunications had an impact on Image who targeted other markets, building up an enviable client base spread across different industries.

Today, with his team of highly experienced recruitment consultants and refreshingly different approach to recruitment, Jon has honed and developed the service that has proved to be consistently successful in matching the right people with the right company over the last 16 years.
